Microsoft Teams voice integration

Live Hub connects your Microsoft Teams tenant to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), to on-premises and cloud contact centers, to Unified Communications platforms and IP-PBXes, and to bot frameworks.

Live Hub operates as a Direct Routing SBC, and it also gives you an interface for the telephony side of the tenant, where you assign phone numbers (DIDs) to Teams users, configure voice routing policies, and carry out other voice management tasks.

  • Only one Teams connection is allowed per region.
  • Your first account includes one free month for 50 Teams users. If you configure more than 50 during that month, you are charged for the additional users only: 70 users means 20 chargeable. After the first month, every user is chargeable.
  • Direct Routing SBC uses TLS over port 5081.

Establishing Teams connectivity takes all of the following, in order:

  1. Connect Live Hub to a Teams tenant
  2. Create a Teams connection
  3. Manage the Teams tenant — in particular assigning phone numbers to Teams users and lifecycle management
  4. Route calls between Teams and Live Hub — a SIP connection, phone number, or bot connection to act as the tenant's counterpart, and a routing rule joining them

Then test your Teams connectivity.

Once a tenant is connected, two pages cover changing and undoing it: Modify Teams tenant configuration and Disconnect Teams tenant.
